We’ve published a report which provides a summary of research on Family and Group Conferencing for Adults (FGC), led by Professor Jerry Tew at the University of Birmingham.

The findings help to build the picture of the positive impact that FGC for Adults can have for people, wider networks and systems.

Funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), research into Family and Group Conferencing for Adults was undertaken between November 2022 and November 2025.  The research took place across three sites comprising two local authorities and one NHS Trust.
