The Local Area Coordination Network and The Relationships Project have teamed up to surface, share, and celebrate stories of lockdown from all across the country. Together, we can inspire a conversation about how we can build back better, stronger, and more connected.

Nick Sinclair is joining representatives from Swansea Council and Coastal Housing in leading an online presentation supported by members of the Welsh Government (Julie James MS, Mike Hedges MS and Rebecca Evans MS) about Local Area Coordination and its positive future in Wales.

‘Alongside’ is a collection of 20 stories from last year about people who have changed their lives with the support of Local Area Coordinators from their local communities.

As the Coronavirus crisis unfolded, it became clear that Local Area Coordination as we knew it was going to look very different. We knew we had an opportunity to learn and started to document information, producing a timeline we can now share with you.

The councils who make up the Local Area Coordination Network have co-produced a new report entitled ‘Which Way Next?’. The report is based on the testimony of many people involved, and outlines how the approach has adapted to meet new challenges.

We’re excited to launch our new report ‘It’s Time for Local Area Coordination’. The report outlines what Local Area Coordination is and how it offers huge and long lasting positive impacts on individuals, communities and public sector bodies.

The formative evaluation of the Local Area Coordination programme in Haringey has now been published by Leeds Beckett University. The evaluation reviews the Haringey programme to date following the initial set up in late 2017.
