As part of her recovery from domestic abuse, Nikki was introduced to her Local Area Coordinator Ren. Nikki and Ren quickly formed a bond of trust with Ren making it clear she wasn’t there to judge and direct, rather to support Nikki to make her own decisions to live the life she wanted.

Ashlee was introduced to her Local Area Coordinator Frank by her GP, initially to explore ways she could improve in her mental health. As their relationship developed and trust was built, it became clear that underlying pressures around money and housing were causing her to feel unwell.

In this video we hear from Denzil, who was introduced by a social worker to his Local Area Coordinator Ian. Denzil wanted to move to a new community where he could start afresh and make new friends. As their relationship developed, Ian noticed Denzil’s voice wasn’t being heard.
