Coastal regeneration and community micro-enterprise in Northeast Lincolnshire.
The Campus for Future Living in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire is a new £8.6 million investment in clinical and medical training being developed by East Lindsey District Council .
Community Catalysts is excited to be working with the National Centre for Rural Health and Care, Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) and a diverse range of local partners. We are working together on a creative and different community micro-enterprise development project which will take account of the unique context of the wider work in Mablethorpe.
This project, hosted with the Campus building, will help identify and train local people, enabling them to establish sustainable small enterprises that offer homecare or help at home services to older or disabled people. It is envisaged that it will bring high quality work potential to an area that has limited opportunities and keep local money local whilst also increasing choice for people who need care by developing capacity within the sector. It is anticipated that the programme will also contribute to community pride and cohesion.
The Campus for Future Living will offer a base for enterprises to network and access training and support from LCVS, Community Catalysts and others. It will also provide enterprises with wider beneficial linkage to the organisations and professionals that also operate within the building.
Community Investment Funding to support this project was awarded to Community Catalysts by the Theddlethorpe GDF Community Partnership.
From January to September 2026, we are pleased to be supporting the network of existing community micro- enterprises that were formed in partnership with LCVS. This specific piece of work will connect with those enterprises and support them to form a peer-to-peer network and make use of Small Good Stuff to increase their marketing and visibility. Ultimately, it will help them to be sustainable, and thrive in the local neighbourhood.
