City of Westminster

Supporting local people to run creative, engaging community micro-enterprises for autistic people, people with a learning disability, as well as older people and people with dementia.

We are excited to work with the City of Westminster Council to develop a range of community based options for, and led by, older people, people with dementia, a learning disability and/or autistic people.

We will support local people to develop small enterprises to complement established day services, helping people to have new experiences, develop or maintain friendships, and connect and contribute to their community.

This project is running in conjunction with our project in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

We are also delighted to work alongside our colleagues to develop Local Area Coordination in the area.

“We’re really pleased to be working with Community Catalysts to help create and support micro-enterprises that are of interest to people who draw on social care in our Boroughs. In the short space of time since we got going, people are bursting with brilliant, creative ideas that we can all help to get going. Working with Community Catalysts has been straightforward, positive, and fun – it’s a partnership that fits neatly with our aim to co-produce services with local people and take a person-centred approach to social care.”
